Calling Number Search - Android App Review
Calling Number Search is an Android app developed by octoroid that pops up a search result by a calling number on the incoming call screen. With this app, you can know the phone number of the person calling you before answering the phone.
It is important to note that this app may not launch on CDMA2000 telecom networks such as Verizon, Sprint, and KDDI, and the phone must be connected to the internet through Wi-Fi. Additionally, this app does not collect numbers from your address book, nor is it an address book app. The app allows you to turn off launching condition if the address book or the call log has the calling number. You can also select search engines and set the position of a pop-up window.
The app has been successfully tested on SC-04DGalaxy Nexus) and SO-04D (4.0, Xperia GX(TX)). The app requires the following permissions: READ_CONTACTS, INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW, and READ_PHONE_STATE. The app does not collect personal data from your address book, and the permissions are only necessary for the app's functionality and AdMob advertisement.
